Summary

When a central air system stops cooling, it can quickly make a home uncomfortable. This service call in Akron involved a non-working compressor and a condenser coil that hadn't seen a proper cleaning in some time. Getting everything running again meant tackling more than just a simple fix.

The Work

Removed the failed compressor and installed a new unit, reconnecting refrigerant lines with care
Brazed joints and pressure-tested for leaks before recharging with 5.2 lbs of R-410a refrigerant
Cleaned heavy buildup from the condenser coil using coil cleaner and water for better airflow
Checked system pressures and fine-tuned refrigerant levels to restore proper operation

The Outcome

The system started cooling as it should again. With a fresh compressor, clean coil, and an accurate refrigerant charge, the homeowner could count on steady comfort through the heat. Work like this also helps the equipment run more efficiently and last longer. If you’re running into similar cooling issues, let us know how we can help.
